Beginning and experienced anglers alike will enjoy an unforgettable Chilean fly-fishing expedition on the rivers of Yan Kee Way. You may vary your fishing methods to suit your favorite style. Dry lines and dry flies, to sinking shooting heads and streamers, all take fish. Some of the nearby spring creeks require some technical skill, but offer some really large browns and rainbows — up to 28 inches — on nymphs and bugger-type patterns.
In addition to the fishing, Yan Kee Way has a wonderful list of non-fishing (or adventure) activities available, so it is a world-class destination for couples or families. A partial list of adventure activities would include:
- Rafting and boating expeditions
- Hiking, climbing and canyoning expeditions
- Half-day or full-day horseback riding trips
- Culinary and wine-tasting events
- Mountain biking
- Driving/hiking trips up to the top of Osorno Volcano
- Shopping and spa treatments in nearby Puerto Montt
- Fine dining in Yan Kee Way’s award winning restaurant, Latitude 42°
- High tea at one of the area’s many bed & breakfasts
